About Us

Sarbojanin Puja Utsav of Victoria Inc. (SPUVIC) was founded in April 2018 with a vision to create a lasting platform where members and their offspring can nurture and cherish the values of ‘Sanatana Dharma’ and the Bengali heritage, language, arts, and cultures in Victoria. We are committed to build a vibrant community, which:

  • regularly organises various Puja as per Vedic rituals with highest purity [all Puja rituals are performed by our respected priest Dr Jagannath Chatterjee];
  • celebrates other Bengali festivals and organises various socio-cultural programs; and
  • promotes respectful relationships among community members for maintaining enduring communal harmony.

All Puja, festivals and cultural events at SPUVIC are ‘Sarbojanin’ and therefore, open to members and non-members alike. We encourage everyone who respects, loves and enjoy our religious and socio-cultural uniqueness to attend our colourful festivals round the year. You can join as a walk-in guest or become a member of our community to actively participate in creating a lively SPUVIC community.

We elaborately celebrate Mahalaya, Durgotsav, Saraswati Puja, Kali Puja, Bangla Nobobarsha and Krishan Janmastami with full religious and festive mode. Many celebrations include colourful cultural programs as well as visual and performing arts competitions and community magazine publication, where our members and children can share their literary, cultural and artistic talents.

The website serves as an official news, communication and member’s resources portal of SPUVIC community. Our existing member can securely update their contact details, renew membership, pay annual subscriptions via the member services tools. Any aspiring members can download our smart forms and lodge their applications electronically.
